Guide for Library Users

E-resources

90% of the material acquired by the library consists of e-resources. Therefore it’s good to know how to use e-resources and everything related to them. You can find more information about the library’s services in the Information and Research Guides

The E-resources help complement the resources’ own user guides. Each resource’s Database guide link can be found in its Finna record.

Ebooks are available in several different platforms. You can read them in your browser and/or download them to your computer. The reading software and loan periods vary. The Guide to E-books provides detailed instructions e.g. for reading, downloading, and using e-books on mobile devices.

The guide Accessibility of e-resources provides tips for making reading easier, customizing the reading view, and listening to e-resources.

You can access almost all e-resources remotely via Turku UAS Finna by logging in with your Turku UAS user credentials. Only the ePress sanomalehdet (newspapers in Finnish only) can be read exclusively within the Turku UAS network. Read international newspapers in the PressReader service.
