Salo Campus Library is located in the Salo IoT Campus premises, at Joensuunkatu 7. Entrance is through the main entrance to the IoT campus. The campus is accessible.
Follow the signs of Turku University of Applied Sciences – the library can be found as soon as you arrive at the Turku UAS premises. The library operates as a self-service library and is open on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. The staff will be present on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. You can work in the library as usual, pick up reservations, borrow and return material within the opening hours.
The Salo Campus Library collection focuses on business and the social sciences and health care. Most of the library's collection is e-resources. Read more about e-resources. Browse the collection in Turku UAS Finna. The printed newspapers available are Salon Seudun Sanomat and Turun Sanomat.
Reserved books can be picked up from the reservation cart located at the end of the first row of shelves. The shelf is marked Reservations. NB. As the reservations are handled at the Salo campus library only on Tuesdays while the staff is present, there may be books on the shelf that have a reservation. In this case, the borrowing will fail and the book must be left in the return drop box.
There is a self-check machine in the library where you can both return and borrow material.
The library's Information and Research Guides provide key information sources by field of study, as well as useful tips and instructions for information retrieval.
The library has two designated terminals for information seeking, one of which also provides access to Turku UAS' theses stored in the restricted-access collection in the Theseus database. The screen of that terminal has a text Theseus on it.
There are also two computers in the front of the library for study use. Use Turku UAS credentials to log in. he area around the Salo campus library is a large open space with sofa groups for studying and relaxing. In the same area, you will also find quiet booths for focused work and a multifunction device for printing, copying, and scanning. The multifunction device is only available for the use of Turku UAS students and staff.
