How to search in Theseus
Browse the content in Theseus
You can browse the content in Theseus by collection, title, author, publication date or subject. Links to different browsing options can be found in Theseus home page.
To search materials type your search term in the search box in Theseus home page. Search covers all collections and materials (thesis and UAS publications) by default. After you have performed a search you can narrow the search result (Show Advanced Filters).
Use filters to narrow your search result to include e.g. only master's thesis: select Level of the thesis and type YAMK. Click the + button to add fields. Click Apply.
- Boolean operators AND, OR and NOT (capitals) can be used when searching in Theseus. Use brackets for more complex searches. Example: (operation OR hospital) NOT patient. This search listsall items that include words operation and hospital, but not the word patient. Please read more about Boolean operators in Guide to Information Seeking > Retrieval techniques.
- Use a question mark (?) to replace one character and an asterisk (*) to replace a string of characters. E.g. r?d > red, rot etc. and r*d > raid, realised, etc.
