You can create an Researcher / expert profile with the Researcher’s Profile Tool in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Research.fi service. All researchers in higher education and research institutions and people working in expert positions, regardless of their title, are encouraged to use it.
With a Researcher profile you can promote your competences and expertise the way you want. The profile information is available to you regardless of changes in affiliations or job titles.
To create a Researcher profile, you will need an ORCID profile. To access your Researcher profile in Research.fi, you must use a strong Suomi.fi e-Identification.
The international ORCID researcher identifier is a persistent and unique digital identifier for researchers. It is a 16-digit number that distinguishes researchers from each other.
By creating an ORCID profile for yourself and linking it to your professional information you will ensure that your research outputs are correctly attributed to you. ORCID acts like a signature that you can attach to your online presence, such as articles, web pages, blog posts, social media, CV, and email signature.
ORCID is a non-proprietary and community-based registry of unique identifiers for researchers and authors. Community members include individual researchers, authors, publishers (e.g. Elsevier), universities (e.g. MIT), research institutes (e.g. CERN), and scholarly associations.

The service for saving research activity information in JUSTUS closes down on 30.11.2025 (see Messi)
Research activities are part of your visibility as an expert. A research activity can be an expert task related to RDI, teaching, or other professional activities. It can be, for example, a conference presentation, poster, or thesis supervision.
Research activities are often comparable in importance to other professional outputs, such as publications, so they are worth collecting and showcasing to promote your own merit and visibility of your expertise.
Save your research activity information regularly in the Turku UAS JUSTUS service. You can publish them as part of your Researcher / expert profile on Research.fi or use the downloadable csv file from JUSTUS, depending on your needs. You are responsible for the accuracy of your research activity information, and you decide which activities you choose to show in your Researcher / expert profile.
NOTE! The library saves publication information in JUSTUS service for the publication data collection of the Ministry of Education and Culture. You do not need to save the publication information yourself.
Below are instructions on how to create a Researcher / expert profile and how to save research activities in the JUSTUS service.
